Picture the following: A nice Amish family decides to take a Saturday trip to the zoo. They go into the aquarium to see all the fish and sharks. One of the younger girls, maybe six or eight, sees a pretty red box on the wall. It has a shiny white handle on it. She doesn't know what it is, but it looks fun and she pulls it. This picture is the result.

That's actually really adorable.

I know. I felt so bad for the family! The girl probably didn't even realize what she did.

Aren't they not allowed to use modern technology?

It varies, but yeah.

I didn't expect to see them at an Aquarium which exists because of modern technology. I don't know how much it varies but don't they avoid even common technology such as phones and cars? What about electricity?

Some are allowed to use basic cars/electric stuff.

Is her family now gonna pony up the $2K fine for a false alarm?

The impression I got was that everyone was prepared to just let it go.
